Our Tips For Making Time to Unwind

Stress can get the better of us everyday. You may find yourself with a lot on your plate with no time to take a breather. It’s incredibly important to allow yourself even 10 minutes to centre yourself everyday. So, here are our tips for making time to unwind…

An intro to stress 😮‍💨

Stress is what we feel when we’re in a situation we feel we can’t manage or control. We all experience it differently, so you may feel anywhere between overwhelmed and panicked or foggy and deflated. Different situations can trigger stress, be it work, studies, family troubles, finances… The list of causes of stress is endless. The important thing is to make sure that you’re dealing with your stress in a healthy way.

How to manage stress 💪

The first stepping stone to managing stress in ensuring you have a good support network. Be it family, friends or work/school support, make sure you have an outlet to vent and get your feelings out in the open. They may even be able to help with what is causing you stress, but you’ll never know unless you extend that branch!

It’s also important to identify what is triggering your stress and reflect on how to better manage this. It may be upsetting to do, but short term pain leads to long term gain. Dealing with the stresses in your life is scary, but once you’ve put a plan in place you’ll for sure have a huge weight lifted off your shoulders. You’ve got this! 👏

A daily unwind 💆

Getting a hold of your stress and what is causing it can be a hard and lengthy process for some. We completely understand that it isn’t always simple. So, here are some tips for taking a little time out of each day to unwind and feel a little more yourself:

…is a great way to quieten your mind daily. When you’re in the middle of stressing, pause and put on a quick 10 minute meditation. You’ll be amazed at how much more calm you feel after grounding yourself.

A blissful soak 🫧

Hard day at work? Get yourself in the bath. Baths have been proven to activate your parasympathetic nervous system which is responsible for relaxation. A nice, hot bath will also help to relax your tense muscles. Add some bubbles using our Blissful Bath Soak and let the stress of your day melt away as your submerge yourself in bubbly goodness 🫧. This soak in particular is also great for the ladies experiencing perimenopause and menopause symptoms such as dry skin, UTI’s and vaginal dryness.

Get active 🏃

We get it, when you’re stressed the last thing you might want to do is do some exercise, but a lot of people do find this can help them blow off steam as exercising increases those feel-good endorphins. This doesn’t mean you have to join a gym and hop on the treadmill for an hour, simply going on a short walk to clear your mind and get some fresh air can do wonders!

Get *active* 😈

Not feeling a walk? Grab your toy of choice and our Slide It! Lube and enjoy some well needed “me-time”. Masturbation can help you to de-stress, relax and even help you to fall asleep easier. Like exercise, having an orgasm releases endorphins AND can help with period cramps if this is adding to your stress. It’s an all round win-win solution in our book 💅.

Have a massage 😴

This can be done with a partner or solo. Enjoy a good kneading in those tense muscles and allow yourself to relax at the end of a stressful day. Nothing feels better than physically feeling yourself slip into pure contentment. For added relaxation, check out our Hemp Bliss Oil. Perfect for massages, this oil is packed full of Hemp Seed Oil which aids in helping you chill out.

We hope these tips give you some relief when dealing with stress. Remember that if your stress is being particularly hard on your life, consult your GP. Stay kind to yourself, girls ❤️.
