Our Ambassador Megan Barton Hanson
2018 Love Island finalist Megan Barton Hanson has joined WooWoo as our brand ambassador to spearhead a campaign that aims to raise the level of debate around a number of important female sexual health and well-being issues.
Sexual pleasure, self-esteem and satisfaction have a profound impact on our physical and mental well-being. We know – because we’ve surveyed thousands of women - that it all starts with how you feel about yourself and your body.
"MORE THAN 1 IN 5 WOMEN FEEL EMBARRASSED ABOUT THEIR LOWER BODIES WHEN THEY’RE NAKED IN FRONT OF THEIR PARTNER AND MORE THAN 50% OF THEM ABOUT THEIR “BELOW THE BELT GROOMING”.
WooWoo is pro-choice – from your reproductive rights, to the length of your skirt to how many sexual partners you have. We’re anti-slut shaming too. We
want to narrow the gender pay gap, eliminate the gender orgasm gap and stop everyone giving a fuck about the thigh gap.
WooWoo founder Lucy Anderson commented on the campaign and the partnership: “We want to start conversations that will help woman feel more comfortable talking about their sexual health, less worried about their sexual history and more focused on enhancing their sexual pleasure.”
Lucy continued; “We’re over the moon to be working with Megan. Megan has been such a positive role model for young women since leaving the Island, in particular speaking out against the negativity of body and slut-shaming. These outdated attitudes to women’s sexuality and sexual activity, is one of the reasons women don’t talk as openly as they should about their sexual health, and is costing them their future fertility and in some cases their lives.”
Megan commented on the partnership: “I’m excited to be supporting WooWoo with this important campaign. We need to really change our approach on sex education and hygiene. That old British notion of “Well let’s not talk about that” really needs to change. It’s good to a see a brand that’s willing to take the lead in this area and I’m really proud to be supporting WooWoo in doing so.”
